Yorkshire Forest Folk is run by sisters, Sophie and Emily, both former primary school teachers and Level 3 Forest School Practitioners with a passion for getting outdoors, exploring nature and seeing children flourish in a natural environment.
Sophie is an experienced Primary School Teacher who, after eight years of teaching, has left teaching in a classroom full time to develop her real passion for children learning both through play and in nature. She is a Forest School Practitioner and is a qualified Outdoor First Aider.
As well as being mum to 3 children between 6 and 10 years old, Emily also taught in Early Years Education for 5 years. Having experienced many pre school sessions with her own children she understands the importance of creating experiences that benefit both children and adults, fundamentally in a natural environment. She is a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner.
